The residents of Clarksville have been left scratching their heads for weeks as they've been witnessing strange lights above downtown Clarksville. Some even speculated that aliens had landed, but it turns out the lights were actually the result of a new drone built by a local robotics shop.

Above-Us is owned by Chris and has been open since 2017. They specialize in a wide range of drone services including custom built aircraft and modifications, photography, cinematography, surveying, and mapping. Many of their aircraft are manufactured locally and have volunteered for search and rescue missions as part of a rigorous testing and development program that subjects new aircraft to real life scenarios. Their volunteer work has resulting in the reunion of several dozen families, pets, and missing livestock over the last 6 years. Chris claims that the strange lights were caused by a new type of drone they've been developing for a client.

According to the owner - the new drone was designed to mimic the flight patterns of Hoary Bats, allowing it to fly undetected and monitor various crime metrics throughout the city. During several weeks of low light testing however, the drone's landing lights were left on for safety reasons leading to inadvertent confusion and speculation among the town's residents.

When asked about recent UFO sightings over Clarksville, the only known cohort of interstellar aliens continues to deny any use of UFO near the area and stated that interstellar law prohibits flying UFO’s at night on most planets. The spokesperson mentioned that mis-identification with drones are a modern and regular occurrence.

Chris has since apologized for the inconvenience and promised to turn off the lights now that they are no longer being tested. He also assured residents that the drone is completely safe and poses no threat to the community or anyone’s privacy thanks to its newly developed Autonomous Failsafe system and strong data encryption.

Despite the initial confusion, many residents have expressed excitement over the new drone technology and are looking forward to seeing more of the stunning aerial footage it will capture. Above-Us is expected commission the drone for commercial use this summer, so stay tuned for more updates.
